Mais 260 microempresários conquistaram os recursos necessários para abrir ou ampliar o seu negócio em João Pessoa. Eles foram beneficiados com mais uma liberação de crédito do Banco Cidadão, programa da Prefeitura Municipal de João Pessoa. Os cheques, que somam R$ 1 milhão, foram entregues pelo prefeito Luciano Cartaxo durante solenidade realizada no bairro do Geisel, na manhã deste sábado (28).

Jeferson Lopes, de 72 anos, vende frutas e verduras na feira de Jaguaribe. No caso dele, o empréstimo foi a chance de conseguir algum capital de giro. “Eu faço COMPRAS semanalmente e só podia fazer isso fiado. Agora eu vou poder pagar na hora e por isso vai sair mais barato, então eu posso lucrar mais e fazer o negócio crescer”, explicou.

Marizélia e Jeferson são exemplos dos quase sete mil microempreendedores que já foram beneficiados pelo Banco Cidadão desde janeiro de 2013. No total, já foram investidos R$ 17 milhões, dinheiro que permite a mudança de vida de muitas famílias e se reverte em desenvolvimento econômico para toda a cidade.
“Este é um trabalho que está associado com uma série de ações da Prefeitura de João Pessoa com o objetivo de cuidar das pessoas”, destacou o prefeito Luciano Cartaxo. “Esperamos que esse dinheiro se multiplique e se transforme em prosperidade para a família e em geração de riqueza para João Pessoa, pois quando um microempreendedor investe em seu negócio ele está sendo responsável pelo desenvolvimento de nossa cidade”, declarou.
O secretário municipal do Trabalho, Produção e Renda, Diego Tavares, destacou o crescimento da geração de empregos em João Pessoa durante o mês de fevereiro, que se destacou como o maior de toda a região Nordeste. Para ele, o Banco Cidadão tem papel fundamental nesta conquista. “Este crédito representa o incremento da renda familiar e o crescimento do comércio e da geração de novas vagas de trabalho no mercado. Estamos muito felizes com a concretização de mais esta etapa”, afirmou.
Ação – Neste sábado, a concessão de crédito aconteceu em paralelo com o calendário de atividades do programa Territórios Empreendedores, da Secretaria Municipal do Trabalho, Produção e Renda. No local, a população do bairro pode encontrar a unidade móvel do Banco Cidadão, realizando inscrições e capacitação em gestão empresarial, além de técnicos do Sistema Nacional de Empregos em João Pessoa (Sine-JP).
Estiveram presentes na solenidade o secretário do Procon-JP e vereador Helton Renê; os vereadores Benilton Lucena, Djanilson Fonseca e Marco Antônio, e o superintendente da Companhia de Docas da Paraíba, Lucélio Cartaxo.
