Duas mulheres dizem ter sido contaminadas com o vírus HIV dentro de ônibus do transporte coletivo de João Pessoa. Desesperadas e pedindo ajuda, as mulheres foram encaminhadas ao Hospital Clementino Fraga, onde receberam o tratamento de profilaxia, que combate o vírus.

O caso em questão, de acordo com o Código Penal, se configura lesão corporal grave, com pena que varia de dois a oito anos de reclusão. As mulheres não procuraram a polícia para registrar queixa. As revelações sobre o contágio da AIDS em ônibus da capital foram feitas pela diretora Adriana Teixeira, que responde pelo Clementino. Segundo ela, as mulheres não se conhecem e procuraram ajuda individualmente, em semanas distintas. “Muitas pessoas pensam que isso é brincadeira, mas cabe o alerta. As duas mulheres sustentam a tese de que foram furadas dentro do ônibus, sem que tivessem chance de defesa”, afirmou. 

De acordo com o médico infectologista Fernando Chagas, o primeiro caso foi de uma mulher de aproximadamente 40 anos. “Ela disse que estava no ônibus lotado e de repente sentiu uma furada nas costas. Ao olhar para trás, viu um rapaz, de pele morena, falando ao telefone que tinha acabado de furar mais uma”, explicou o médico. Segundo ele, a paciente disse que no momento que recebeu a furada deu um grito, chamando a atenção dos demais passageiros, mas ninguém interviu. Em seguida ela desceu do ônibus, chorando e muito nervosa. Uma semana depois, o médico atendeu a segunda mulher, esta com cerca de 30 anos. “Ela disse que estava no ônibus quando sentiu a furada. Tomou um susto e gritou. Assustada, desceu e foi para o Clementino Fraga, com medo de ter sido contaminada”, explicou o médico. Segundo ele, a mulher ficou desesperada, mas não deu detalhes sobre o caso, disse apenas que na rua, ao contar a situação, foi orientada a procurar o Clementino. 

As duas pacientes receberam o tratamento com medicamentos antirretrovirais que combate o vírus quando iniciada em até 48 horas após o contágio. Os remédios devem ser tomados por 28 dias seguidos.
